What classes do I sign up for?

Rancho Bernardo High offers: Spanish, French, and German

TIPS:

Choose the amount of language courses to meet your university/career goals. Make sure counselor signs off on your plan. Click here for the A-G requirements for a "LOTE"=Language other than English for full disclosure. to see how much language you need.
Students are encouraged NOT to take a quarter off. Start language when one can finish it consecutively. Don't take off a quarter. When a student takes a quarter off he/she forgets a lot. Try not to do this, please.
There is no summer school for World Language
If wanting to skip up level students must get a teacher recommendation and/or take the placement test with his/her RBHS counselor.
One must take the same language for the course of study. In other words, one can't take Spanish 1-2 then French1-2 to meet a two year requirement.
Feel free to take more than one language, if you have time in your schedule.
Native speakers? Do not take the first year course; it may not be challenging enough. Which level is appropriate? The counselor will give you a placement test. Email him or her at RBHS Counselors

How much World Language do I need?

...to be able to submit an application to UC/University of California schools? UCSD, UCLA, UCSB...

2 years of SAME language, but 3 or more recommended. See the actual requirements here
