Community Service Options: Use your skills!
1. Volunteer in Spanish

Volunteering is an exceptional way to achieve greater fluency. Choose a field that you are interested in and ask if there are bilingual opportunities. Visit the local government offices or public library for ways to support your community.

2. Connect with Fellow Spanish Language Learners

Create an on-campus conversation club that invites parent volunteers who are fluent to talk about the issues of the day.

4. Host an Exchange Student
​
Our Spanish and German teachers will let you know when the Germans and Spaniards are visiting RBHS. Sign up and your visitor shares some of the wonderful things about his/her culture and language and so do you! It is an excellent way to reinforce what you learn in your class and will make a difference in someone else’s travel and cultural experiences.
These suggestions are just scratching the surface of the possibilities available to you for putting your Spanish into action in your community.
